Rainbow Love App’s Most Popular Photo Filters
Today we’re sharing our best photo filters and some tips on how to enhance them when editing your photos.
Photo Filter: Moon Filter 1
Moon Filter 1
Filter Effect:
Moon Filter 1 is a simple photo filter which adds a bright pink light to your image and creates a soft, cool warmth to your original photo.
Best For:
Most Photos. This filter adds a visually appealing effect to most photos, but may wash out or oversaturate photos that are alright too bright or light.
Moon 1 Tips:
- If our Moon 1 Filter does oversaturate your photo, you can try reducing the brightness or contrast of your original image using the app’s background image editor to get the effect you want.
- Can also be used as a base layer.
- This filter is included FREE in both versions of Rainbow Love App.
- For similar effect, try DREAMY FILTER 1 and DREAMY FILTER 2.
Photo Filter: Earth 1
Earth Filter 1
Filter Effect:
Earth Filter 1 is a simple photo filter which adds a earthy tone to your image and adds a sunset warmth to your original photo.
Best For:
Most Photos. This filter adds a visually appealing effect to most photos.
Earth 1 Tips:
- Can also be used as a base layer. Use Earth 1 as your base layer, and add additional filters on top.
- This filter is included FREE in both versions of Rainbow Love App.
- This filter creates a vintage effect on your photos when you used the Background Image Editor to reduce the Saturation of your photo to 0%
Photo Filter: Moon 4
Moon Filter 4
Filter Effect:
Moon Filter 4 adds a full moon surrounded by shining stars to your photo.
Best For:
Daylight Photos that aren’t too busy. Best for photos that contain one main subject.
Moon 4 Tips:
- This filter looks great on YOGA photos. Also try Moon 3 Filter which provides a full moon without the stars and flecks of light.
Photo Filter: Rainbow 6 and Rainbow 7
Rainbow Filter 6 and 7
Filter Effect:
Rainbow Filters 6 and 7 add a rainbow across your photo. We grouped them together, b/c they are very similar. Rainbow 6 adds is a more pink to aqua rainbow that fades at it’s ends. Rainbow 7 has more a purplish hue and bleeds off your photo. The grayer the sky is in your photo, the better these Rainbows and all of our rainbows will appear on your photos.
Best For:
Daylight and Night time photos. Use on Nature, Beach and Landscape Photos. Our Rainbow filters look amazing on Alpine Shots, Desert Shots, Beach Photography and Cityscapes. And also Yoga Photos!
Rainbow Filter 6 and 7 Tips:
- If the rainbow filters aren’t appearing on your photo, try using Earth 1 as your base layer, and add a Rainbow Filter on top of it. (see example below) You can also try reducing the brightness or contrast of your photo using the app’s background image editor.
- All Rainbow Filters are included FREE in both versions of Rainbow Love App.
- Some really beautiful effects can always be achieved when Rainbow Filters are layered onto select Moon and Dreamy Filters in Rainbow Love App. Also our Rainbow Filters on black and white photos.
Photo Filter: Moon 9
Moon Filter 9
Filter Effect:
Moon Filter 9 adds a earthy defining tone and a moon phase of 4 moons from crescent to full.
Best For:
Daylight and Evening Photos. This filter adds a visually appealing effect to most photos.
Moon 9 Tips:
- If the moons in the filter cover your main subject in your photo, you can try rotating the filter in the filter editor.
- Complement your photo edit by adding Moon Photo Art from Galaxy Art Category, or a quote using the text editor or art from Yoga Art and Boho Art.
Photo Filter: Dreamy 10
Dreamy Filter 10
Filter Effect:
We totally “rainbow heart” DREAMY 10! Dreamy 10 adds a vibrant and colorful swash to your photos.
Best For:
Photos that are darker in brightness and more neutral in background color. This filter adds a visually appealing and artful effect to most photos. Especially great for YOGA STUDIO photos!
Dreamy 10 Tips:
- Using Earth 1 as your base layer, along with Dreamy 10 can add some really beautiful enhancements to your final image.
- Try rotating this filter on your background image.
- One thing to watch for is that the bright pink hues can discolor skin tones to a red. It’s photo art, but use rotation of filter, use Earth 1 Filter as a base or try reducing saturation to avoid this.
Photo Filter: Dusk 3
Dusk Filter 3
Filter Effect:
For when the stars are so bright, they are visible through he day. Dusk Filter 3 gives your photos a Starry Sky!
Best For:
Photos with LOTS of SKY. Day or Night. This filter adds a visually appealing effect to most photos.
Dusk Filter 3:
- For daytime shots, try using Earth 1 as your base layer and reduce intensity.
- This filter is included FREE in both versions of Rainbow Love App.
- If this filter covers the main subject(s) of your photo in a way that bothers you, try rotating the filter.
- Also try using this filter in conjunction with Photo Art from Galaxy Art category!
Photo Filter: Dusk 11 and Dusk 12 Layered
Dusk 11 and Dusk 12 – Layered
Filter Effect:
The entire Dusk Filter collection is inspired by night sky colors from Dusk to Dawn. So we included some moon phase filters in this filter collection that work great on a wide variety of photos.
Best For:
Most photos. These filters will add a night time “mood” to most photos.
Dusk 11 / Dusk 12 Tips:
- Although these filters are great alone, as you can see they are even better together! Also try Dusk 11 or Dusk 12 along with our other Dusk Filters.
- Although, produced to provide a night time “mood” – Our dusk filters can look really great when applied to bright, Day Time photos. So try them out when you have a chance.
Photo Filter: Moon 6 and Moon 7

Filter Effect:
This is another filter duo, that just look amazing on most photos when layered as Moon 6, and then Moon 7 added on top.
Best For:
Most Photos. This filter duo adds a visually appealing effect to most photos.
Moon 6 and Moon 7 Tips:
- Try using Earth 1 as your base layer, with intensity reduced if needed.
- This is also the formula for our VINTAGE MOON FILTERING PHOTO EDIT (see images below). The only other step to apply is Earth 1 Filter as base layer, and reduce image saturation to 0%. Read more here…
